In the main house(they call it "Balay"), tehy have a beautiful living room that holds so many treasures culled from the owner's travels, as well as an airy dining room where you will be served meals for every time of the day(breakfast, snacks, lunch, merienda, and dinner are included in hte package when you decide to stay overnight). Every where you turn there is something beautiful to see.
They'll Make You Grab for the Grub
I have to say that the food that was served to us during our overnight stay at Balay Indang wasn't at all gourmet food. That's just a warning to those who may be expecting anything other than simple, home-cooked meals at the place. But what delighted as during our stay was that the foold that kept on coming, and cooked in a home-style kind of way that made you remember food from childhood. Hahaha!
Included in our overnight package was taht they'd be serving us breakfast, lunch, snacks-in=betwenn, and dinner. What we didn't expect was that they'd be serving us waht looked like a small portions but a whole array of different meals all i one meal!
When we went to Balay Indang, we arrived just in time for lunch. Here's a sample of the hefty lunchtime fare served in their cozy dining room:
Fresh garden salad - leafy greens, singkamas, carrots, hardboiled egg, chopped nuts, mango, and special dressing.
A Room that spells RELAXATION
More on food later. We enjoyed setting in our appointed cottage, which had a queen-sized bed, a single bed, a single bed, and another bed(more like a daybed) - this room could easily have fit four to five people, It was sparsely decorated with tasteful wooden furniture, but still stayed within the rustic theme with an old-fashioned chandelier, a statue lamp by the vanity, and an antique-looking warroble with capiz on its doors.
Scattered Shells and More
The bathroom in the cottage was charming... A curtain of shells welcomes the guest into shower stall, with scattered shells on the bathroom floor taht are meant to massage your the soles of your feet as you shower using their lavender body wash and shampoo (we did bring our own toiletries, though). The toilet is separated by wooden sliding doors. It's so relaxing!
The place is like a garden in a farm with several small houses peppered across a hectare of lot. There are several cavans and cottages within pockets of garden as well as a swimming pool with a recreation or yoga area.
The rooms are spacious-some with air conditioning while others have ceiling fans. You wont be needing them anyway as it's always chilly there and the breeze just creeps right thru the window. An old and rustic design with Bali and Chinese influence completes the entire package.
