Outstanding Students Receive Recognition, Incentives

Dasmarinas,Cavite - The city government of Dasmariñas headed by Mayor Jennifer Barzaga will again give recognition to selected students of this premier city who have excelled in their studies both in public and in private schools.
This year’s theme of the activity is “Gawad Karangalan ng Lunsod ng Dasmariñas 2011”.
According to Mayor Barzaga, giving recognition to the deserving students is one of the priorities of her administration adding that education is key to success both for the students and the community.
Graduating honor students from elementary, high school, college and graduate schools, bar and board topnotchers and passers will receive certificates of recognition, medals and financial incentives from the city government.
In a memorandum circular posted at the office of the mayor, awards and incentives will given to the following: elementary first honors will receive P700, gold medal and certificate; second honors, P500, silver medal and certificate and third honors will receive P400, a bronze medal and certificate.
For high school, valedictorians will receive P1,000 gold medal and certificate; salutatorians, P700, a silver medal and certificate and honorable mention P300, a bronze medal and certificate.
College summa cum laude will receive P7, 000, a plaque of recognition; cum laude: P5,000 and plaque of recognition while others with honors will receive P3,000 and a plaque of recognition.
Bar and board topnotchers will get a hefty P25,000 and a plaque while the bar and board passers will receive P3,000 each. Graduate school students with honor will also receive P2,000 and plaque from the city government.
